Mares of Cooroora
All serious stud owners
agree that it is the
mares who hold the key
to the success or eventual
failure of the stud. There
are studs and there
are 'extraordinary
studs'. To become
recognized as an
extraordinary stud it is
essential that the stock
produced is of consistent,
exceptional quality.
The more experienced
breeders glance straight
down the bottom line
pedigree of a horse who
takes their eye, they know
that it is there that the
depth lies and the depth,
qualities or faults will
usually surface from the
vital 'X' factor carried by
the mare.
A well bred mare which has a
pedigree rich in similar
type, high caste,
performance bloodstock will
certainly produce a
predictably superb foal when
bred to a horse of equally
fine breeding, providing all
care is taken with nutrition
and physical living
conditions.
The mares of Cooroora
Arabian and Pony Stud are
all carefully selected with
special emphasis given to
the genetic material coming
through the bottom line of
their pedigree. Not ignoring
the bottom line of the sire
of their dams.
Complex, but very
important and influential.

Cawarral Charm
F10,000 (foal is Cooroora
Calieshah)
Istana Khamaji x Chookalum
|
|

|
Charm is a genetic
masterpiece. Our
first purebred mare,
she produced four
outstanding foals
for our stud, all
champions to various
beautiful stallions
(this was before we
had bred Aheyme)
Financial hardship
meant that we had to
part with her for
eight long years.
Mrs Michelle
Trahairs Hinterland
Stud saw her
produce another
three outstanding
foals. However we
are fortunate that
Mrs Trahair offered
her back to us
recently, so she is
home again and we
are delighted. A
beautiful bay
mare with multiple
lines to Royal
Domino (iid UK),
Tallangatta
Muftakher, Silver
Moonlight, Abiram
(imp Holland)
Crystal Fire and
Nefertiti through
her sire and Royal
Domino (again),
Shafreyn (imp UK)
Rualla, and Rakib
(imp UK) on the dam
side. When crossed
to a quality
stallion, you can
predict without a
gamble a champion
foal. (always
providing
nutritional
requirements are
met) All going
well, Charm will be
put to Cooroora
Aheyme this
06/07 season.

Cooroora Contessa F26291
Cooroora Aheyme x Ninderry
Park Callista
|
|
_small1.jpg)

|
Contessa is a grey
filly, a full sister
to the great
champion colt,
Cooroora
Conquistador. She
is so very tall,
already 15 hands at
just two years old
and so much growing
ahead of her, she is
expected to mature
to at least 15.3
hands. Her legs and
feet are correct and
she has a length of
rein to rival her
extraordinary sire.
Away to be trained
under saddle for
now, she will be
trained in endurance
once she is of age
and when the time is
right we hope
to breed some superb
foals from her but
right now she is
very busy growing.

Simeon Shados x
Aston Sapphire Blue
Jewel is a grey
filly registered in
both the Arabian
Pony section of the
Arabian horse
society and is also
a section 'A' Riding
Pony. Combining the
blood of her pretty
dam who is very
typey with tiny
ears, fine and
perfect legs,
excellent shoulder
and neck, good
wither, free elbow
and the perkiest
tail carriage with
that of her compact
and beautiful sire
with lines to Asfour
(imp Germany) Nazeer,
Ansata Ibn Halima.
She is a very
elegant filly and
will be very hard to
beat in the showring.
Our plan is to train
her under saddle
starting next year
and we do hope to
breed some lovely
ponies from her in
the future.
